Have you ever tried Group Coaching?

Imagine this, you are sitting with a group of women you don’t know, feeling a little apprehensive about what is going to happen in the next few hours that you have committed yourself to. You came along because you are interested in finding some ways to make changes in your life and suddenly this opportunity presented itself.

During the introductions you feel yourself starting to relax, these are women like you, they are sharing the same thoughts, feelings, worries and perhaps nervous laughter. You can’t believe that you are the 3rd person to say you have been made redundant, you are the  4th person to say you lack confidence and then to top it all the woman next to you says she is having issues with her teenage daughter. Wow, I’m really not alone.

As the hours and maybe weeks unfold this experience is shared multiple times. One woman across the room shares something about her life that moves you very deeply, you see the courage in her to open something up, to talk in a way that sends shivers down your spine. You can see her face softening and opening as she talks, a weight falling off her shoulders, sitting up straighter, looking everyone in the eye, she has made the decision to talk about something she was afraid to share, to admit or to face. This liberates something in you, “I can do this as well, in my own way.”

Thoughts some of the women shared about their experiences:

“A really positive experience of working with other women, exploring issues, sharing problems, solving ideas, experiences and being in a safe space.”

“The room became a sanctuary where we grew and discovered collectively.”

“I learnt a lot about myself and others.”
